The project concept integrates the existing ruins of the site with a modern intervention to create a specialist library that connects individuals interested in archaeology and local history. At the heart of the library is a central corridor composed of bookshelves, with various functional zones distributed around it. The spatial layout transitions from public to private as it ascends, with heritage archives securely housed on the top floor. The proposal also uncovers the archaeological heritage of the site by revealing the old cobbled street beneath the ground floor. Portions of the existing ground floor are removed to enhance visibility and connectivity, while also creating additional usable vertical space.
