This project transformed the former Fruitmarket Gallery into a boutique hotel designed for international guests and film enthusiasts visiting Edinburgh. Drawing inspiration from the film Lost in Translation, the design captures the essence of the movie's themes and aesthetics, appealing directly to the target audience. Elements from the film were incorporated into the design, such as the lobby and bar's patterned decor and a restaurant lightbox featuring words in various languages, reflecting the global and cinematic themes of the project.
